Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a new employment opportunity. I have an MBA and a BA in English. I worked as a Market Development Analyst/Project Manager for a year and also have experience in marketing, PR, account management, sales and editing. I'm willing to move pretty much anywhere.
If you know of any openings send me an email alyssa.anne@gmail.com. I would love to talk to you.
Thanks!

Just Let Me Say...
Whoever thought that curling should classify as an Olympic sport was a real idiot.

Over the Last Few Days, I...
- Took a random trip with Chelsea to San Antonio
- Learned all about Backyardigans
- Dominated at Mario Bros.
Not a bad start to the weekend.

Since the End of Summer...
Soooo......it's been a really long time since my last post. I have no particular reason why. I just haven't felt like it. But, not to worry. For your reading pleasure, I am going to make a conscious effort to get back in the game.
Ok, to catch you up:
-The major thing is I am no longer employed. About five months ago my company went through some serious financial issues and had to drop almost 50% of our staff. They got me in the third round of lay-offs. Total bummer, but I hated that job anyway.
-I have applied for what seems like a million available positions, but to no avail. The biggest issue I'm facing is that I'm not even 2 years out of grad school. Since there happens to be a multitude of people looking for work, employers are requiring a minimum of 5 years of post-grad work experience, and that's just for the traditionally entry-level spots. Again, total bummer.
-I am still living in Houston. Yes, this city if fabulous, but I would like to move East. Like New England or thereabouts.
-I am NOT losing hope! Well, at least not yet. Houston seems to only be hiring accountants and engineers right now, so I'm focusing my job search in the Northeastern U.S. See above.
A couple of weeks ago I edited a dissertation for someone (and yes, she received a PERFECT score for grammar), so now I'm thinking that I should edit papers for local students while I'm still job searching. Tomorrow I think I'll put ads in the school papers at University of Houston and Rice. We'll see what happens.
I'll keep you updated.
